I’ve been hearing a lot lately about inner eyeliner and how it really adds depth to an eye look, so I thought it would be good to quickly demonstrate the difference between using inner eye-liner and not.
So, the top picture is without and the bottom picture is with upper inner eyeliner. Spot the difference?
The main difference I can see is that the outer inner corners look more defined. I think in the flesh the difference in definition of the eyes with the upper inner liner is much more evident. For me, I much prefer lining my inner lids and mostly do this when I going out, for a more striking look.
There are actually specifically designed eye-liners for the inside rims, like this one from from Sephora. The gentle emollient formula contains antioxidants and vitamins to protect the inner eye-lid skin from damage. However, I just use a black kohl eyeliner pencil and this seems to work just fine. It probably depends on how sensitive your eyes are as to what product will work best for you.
A little tip, if you want your top or bottom inner liner to last longer, add a tiny bit of black powder over the top. This is make it last twice as long!
Are you an inner eyeliner wearer?
