Pumpkin Halloween Chocolate Treats

Are you planning a Halloween party for yourselves or your children and want to make some cheap and easy chocolate treats? If so, why not make these simple Pumpkin Chocolate Lollipops!

All you need to make these is a jelly mould, some of your favourite chocolate, some lollipop sticks, some ribbon and some extra sweet treats, if desired.

These are so effective and would look great on a Halloween nibbles table or children would equally love them if given out for Trick or Treat.

All I did was melt the chocolate; I chose Lindt Premium Milk and Dark chocolate because they’re extra yummy, in a bowl in the microwave. I broke the chocolate into small chunks, placed in a bowl and started by heating for about 1 minute, then stirred and continued to heat for small amounts of time until it was completely melted. As an estimate, it took about 3 mins for 4 lollipop’s worth of chocolate.

I then poured the melted chocolate into the jelly mould, which I thought would be perfect for these little treats and placed the mould in the fridge. When the chocolate started to cool, I then placed a lollipop stick in each pumpkin treat and left to cool completely. This only took a couple of hours.

I then made some bows by tying them onto a separate lollipop stick, slid them off and slid them onto the pumpkin treat sticks and voila; simple yet effective Halloween chocolate treats for everyone of all ages to enjoy. If chocolate alone isn’t quite naughty enough, you could add small marshmallows, peanuts, fruit pieces or anything you like really, at the melted chocolate stage.

To make a great centre piece on your Halloween party table, why not poke the lollipops into a pumpkin like I have. It’s a super cute way to display your creation and when the lollipops have all been eaten, you still have a pumpkin to enjoy!

If you like the idea of these and are also looking for a costume for your little one, why not make my cute little ghost costume; it’s ‘dead’ easy!!

Mmm, trick or treat? I know which I’d rather go for!
