Save The Blow Dry - Unique combination of protective outer & micro weave towel inner

Like many women around the world, I reckon I spend way too long each week blow drying and styling my hair and I was really excited when I heard about the new ‘queen’ of shower caps, ‘Save The Blow Dry‘ and was excited to see what it was like.

Did you know that on average, each of us girls spend over two hours a week blow drying and styling our hair?

That’s actually quite scary and come to think of it, probably the reason I go to work hungry most mornings, because when it comes down to the option of either eating my breakfast or sorting my hair, my hair will always win! So a little help on those in between days, when washing your hair is not an option (as you just don’t think you’ll make it to the office without food), this shower cap, that has an internal layer of absorbent micro weave toweling, to zap humidity and condensation, could be your answer!

If I’m completely honest, I have never thought that a shower cap could stop my hair from feeling damp and flat after a shower or bath, but according to Save *The Blow Dry, available from here for £14.95, you can now preserve your hair style with this new shower cap, as it ‘bathroom proofs’ your hair, leaving it dry and bouncy. This is quite a cool concept! I love curling my hair and actually quite like the second day look when the curls have dropped a little and it’s wavy, so I wondered how well Save The Blow Dry would preserve this look and recently eagerly jumped in the shower to find out.

My first observations of the shower cap were excellent. Not only is it pink (very important) but it also has really cute bows all over it (again very important) and feels of good quality. The plastic outer layer is really supple, the inside towelling layer is really soft and the size is really considerable, so I knew there would be no problem piling in my long hair.

To use, I loosing clipped my hair up with a large toothed hair clip and pulled the cap over the top, plastic side out. I quite like to pull it over my ears too, but you don’t have to. I then showered. Once I was dry, I pulled off the cap, undid the clip and shook my hair out. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! My hair was still wavy and didn’t feel at all damp. Quite simply, this little beauty, that makes me feel like a milk maid (fetching), has officially started saving me some well needed eating time in the mornings! Seriously, if you haven’t tried one of these, you should. You’ll be amazed!

There’s certainly a buzz about these shower caps and I can now see why. I’m converted. You can also turn it inside out to help your favourite hair treatment get to work. Perfect! So long as you let it dry well in between uses, I can see this little pink beauty having a firm home in many ladies bathrooms.

Do you think you’ll give this ‘queen of shower caps’ a go? It’s worth it just for the comedy photo opportunities alone surely?!
