We were thrilled to accept an invite to The Stable launch night on Thursday. The Stable is a chain of five restaurants across the UK and this week saw the launch of it’s sixth restaurant at Fistral Beach in Newquay, Cornwall.
When you approach Fistral Beach you can instantly see why this location was such a draw. The view in itself is something to be admired and is a selling point all on its own! Then you walk into the building and you can instantly see the love and ‘family feel’ attention that has been painstakingly applied, to make it into such a warm and friendly environment.
The bars and tables are gorgeous chunky wood, the open kitchen is amazing, creating a warm and inviting vibe and the quirky hand painted signs are a special treat. My favourtie being ‘Welcome to our Cathedral to Cider”!
The Stable is renowned for it’s pizza, pies and cider and despite being pregnant and not being able to taste the cider (damn shame!), I certainly made the most of the pizza samples that circulated. The three that I tasted were delicious, with some amazing topping combinations. They really know how to make a pizza here!
The atmosphere was buzzing, with easily over a hundred guests and while the music was cranked up a small notch, we got to witness the most beautiful sunset, topping off a great evening.
When you’ve attended a venue in its previous life, it’s always hard to see how it can ever be something else, but after tonight, Fistral Blue (as this spot previously was), is a distant memory. I can see my family popping in for lunch on a weekend or gathering here with friends for a cheeky evening, especially during the summer.
And if you like being by the seaside, beside the sea, then you too will be in your element!
