Spring for me is a time to ditch the pink blush I’ve been using throughout the winter and start reaching for a more coral based blush, to take me through Spring and into Summer. Coral for me is much lighter and flirtier for this time of year when the sun starts to hit our skin in a different way.
I recently created this pretty look using a few coral based products and thought I’d share it with you.
For those that haven’t seen or heard of High Beam before, it is a pink liquid highlighter that you dab across your cheekbones fro a radiant glow. You can use a little or a lot, depending on the look you want to achieve, but during the day I feel that less is definitely more. I just dab 4 or 5 small dots across the cheek bone and up to the corner of my eye, dab and blend.
Out of the Contour Velvet range from JCTB, Coral is perfect for this look. Natural Glow would also work really well as this shade is a pinky/coral. Using the brush provided and lightly brushing onto the skin, the two products blend together perfectly. Remember that blusher should be applied lightly, looking like nature put it there. It should never appear as a block of colour, so blend, blend, blend!
Other products that I used for this look include:
- Revlon Anti-Shine & Prime
- JCTB First Base Foundation in Warm Medium
- Me Me Me Flawless Pressed Face Powder in Translucent
- Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in Soft Beige
- elf Little Black Beauty Book (picking one of the coral shades for the lid & a cream for the inner eye)
- Eye of Horus Liquid Define Eyeliner
- Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
I think this look is really pretty and the coral and highlight make me feel ready for warmer weather. I don’t know about you but I love this time of year and adjusting the makeup I wear is just the very start of my Spring/Summer beauty preparations!
What are changing about your makeup up routine for the new season? I’d love to know!
