Today is a good day for two reasons. One the sun is shining and two, because I’ve found a new nude nail polish that is exactly the colour I was looking for! Feeling stupidly pleased about this, I thought I’d share this nude with you. It’s called, Blissful from the No7 Gel Finish collection and is super pretty; perfect for the wearing with this seasons florals too.
Because We All Love a Free Gift
I received a £3 off No7 makeup voucher at Boots a few weeks ago and thought I’d have a look at the No7 nail polish range to see if I could find a new nude shade. Like nude lipsticks, I’m always on the hunt for the perfect nude nail varnish.
I found a really nice delicate nude/pink called Blissful in the gel finish polish range that I thought I’d try and on picking this up I realised that there was an offer on No7; when you buy 2 products you receive a free ‘Set for the Sunshine’ gift box. So, because I’m a sucker for a freebie, I picked up a bright pink called Summer Holiday as well. Me, buy a pink nail varnish? You do surprise me!
Super Shiny With Staying Power
I’ve recently tried a few gel finish nail polish’s, with some having a more gel like shine and lasting formula than others, so I was interested to see what this brand would be like.
Blissful glided on easily, I used two coats to get the finish shown here and so far, 24 hours later, I’ve just the one small chip, I think due to excessive washing of lunchtime dishes without gloves; so my fault entirely!
I really like this shade, the pigmentation is excellent, almost giving full coverage on the first coat. It’s a great nude, sitting perfectly between pink and coral and is great as an every day colour; soft, chic and effortless. The shine is great too, no need for a top coat here.
The two things I hope/expect from a ‘gel like polish’ is the shine and lasting power and Blissful has certainly got the shine and definitely has the longevity potential. At the full price of £7 it is a little more than I would usually spend on a nail polish, so I’m hoping that it’s worth the money. It certainly looks pretty anyway!
What do you think of Blissful? Do you have a favourite nude shade you use?
